Slip yoke question
I just sourced a BW T10, shown in the Transmission Options post. The Triumph gearboxes terminate in a very intuitive 4-bolt flange. This one, and Muncies and Saginaws, require a slip yoke that connects to a U-joint. I have the slip yoke, or what my Buick Special manual calls a "front companion flange," but not the "spider"/U-joint that connects to the drive shaft.
Can anybody advise me on what part number/source I need to connect my T10 slip yoke/front companion flange to a drive shaft? I've put a not wonderful but hopefully adequate picture of the part below. Thanks for your expertise folks, Kris Palmer |

Interesting slip yoke, not too many are the bolt-on variety. You should be able to take your yoke and driveshaft to the parts house and get the right u-joint. Chances are it's a common GM unit but I forget the numbers 12xx seems close. If the two are different sizes often a "conversion" u-joint will do the trick.

As I recall the u-joint is a very common late 50's and 1960s Chevy passenger car size. At one time I set a 215 Olds in a TR3 chassis and the trans U-joint was the same size as used on the TR rear-end yoke, too They are slightly bigger that the MGB used.
