DIY Wide Band

I am interested in building a DIY wide band controller. When I searched in google the sites that came up tended to be a bit old. I am not worried about a bit of soldering. It looks to me as if the gauges like the ones on the other thread are quite expensive. So a set up that feeds to my lap top might be good as I will only need it to get the carbs set up and then to check the tune from time to time.

Nice. Good find. They must ship to US, right? Probably worldwide. Not a perfect time to buy because the Dollar dropped a little today but a good price. $150 isn't bad.

Since my earlier post I have found JAW on www.14point7.com
Price wise it is in my limited budget and I own 2 soldering irons so I may give it a go. I just need to find a car with the correct Bosch WB sensor in my local scrap yard!

I was going to build one but due to the high price and unavailability of sensors finally gave up on it and bought a complete unit (Innovate LC-1). They have more options now, the one Curtis just installed looks real good. Wonder how much it cost?

I scored a LM-1 off ebay last week for $150 it works great and can datalog to any computer. I think you can usually get them for under $200 or so. Plus they have good tech support.
I've seen lots of plans for narrow band but never seen one for wide band. I thought once you went to wide band you needed to build a full processor etc. I started out trying to build a narrow band for myself but I finally decided that even if I could find all the parts and get it working the functionality just wasn't there to make it worth while. Of course if it's one of those things you just want to build yourself it sounds like a pretty good project.
Good Luck
