It's time; I can't keep going on my current tires much longer so have to decide what to do. I'm seriously considering moving to 17" wheels to get decent tires... but I need to check to see if there's a good 17" tire size that'll fit with my flares through the range of motion. Anyone have one of these that I can rent from you?

If 17" wheels/tires don't work, I'll probably have to drop from 225/50/15's in the rear to 205/50/15's to get a decent tire!

I bet you could make one that would tell you what you need to know. A piece of plate that would bolt to two of your wheel studs and another that would represent the widest section that will fit in your wheel well. Compare the centerline of the tire section plate to the mounting plane of the wheel for the offset. You could even use cardboard or plywood for the tire section. You could have the whole thing made in an hour.
