Hello all,
I saved an IFS assembly off an Opel Kadett B, same as the Opel GT,
It has tiny drum brakes, the steering rack is locked up.
I'm going to get pics, disassemble it, sandblast most of it, replace bushings and balljoints, fabricate caliper adapter mounting brackets,
And I thought you guys might like to follow along.
I was going to rebuild the rack, but I may swap it instead.
After much online research, I elected to keep the 4x100 lug pattern.
That led to finding Mini Cooper Works rotors, and those come in 3 sizes.
I found a steal on new cross-drilled and slotted versions in the largest 12.44" size. I ordered them.
Then I went hunting calipers. Thanks to Mazda, I found a pair of aluminum 4-piston pinchers for the same rotor thickness.
I dragged it home from storage last night, hoping to disassemble tomorrow
