I'm looking for information of someone installing rack and pinion steering in a Nash Metropolitan. Anyone? Frank

Older post but I thought I would comment on it. It looks like you might be able to use a center rack n pinion. Most people think of a rack n pinion with the tie rods on the end. There are rack n pinions that have the tie rod arms mounts located in the middle. 1986 Pontiac Grand Am had a center rack n pinion. This webpage gives an example of retrofitting one to a 1954 Chevy. He made a bracket to mount the existing tie rod arms to the rack.
