Well, bear in mind that the drum to drum width of an early Barracuda rear axle is 57 1/8". TR7/8 is 55" Close. Nonetheless, it is interesting how it was done.

I'm not an early Barracuda guy so much as I like the 70 Cuda, but I can appreciate all the work he's put in to it. Should be a really nice car when he's done with it!
For me the most interesting part of the project was the supercharger build. Not sure if a Whipple supercharger uses a bypass valve, but he may want to consider adding some directional fins in the manifold for cylinder distribution purposes. The good thing is with the bottom of the manifold being removable, he can always TIG weld some in latter if need be. Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 11/07/2018 10:59AM by MG four six eight. |
