i just recently purchased a 1959 100-6 with 5.0, narrowed 8 inch rear and shortened mgb steering rack and pinion. could someone please explain exactly what has to be done to the original mgb rack and is there anything that i should check out with the steering....as an aside i originally bought the car in 1967 while stationed at ft sill ok. i installed a 289 and three speed manual. i sold the car early 80s. i found it in nc years later and was able to buy it from owner in minnesota. the major mods were done by later owners...

That is a beautiful car! I'm working on a steering solution for a Hillman which uses the same odd parallelogram steering arms and tie rods that goes behind the engine and over the transmission. Does your Healey have the steering in front of the crossmember or behind it? Again, that is a gorgeous car... Love those minilites and the paint job!
