Dog Leg repair
For those of you who've done it (or somethign similar), how'd you deal with the overlap at the door edge? I don't like the idea of leaving the area represented by the dotted lines unwelded... am I worrying about it too much or should I go ahead & cut away the that area of the grey flange on the door opening, weld the dog leg all the way to the edge, then put the door opening flange back on?
Note, the gap isn't that big, the dog leg slipped down when while I was taking the pic. |

Re: Dog Leg repair
Rob,
I've done a few and the small area not welded has never been a problem. If you want to weld it drill a hole for a plug weld. Weld and grind it smooth, Just means more body work. JB |
