Reportedly this applique works for boat hulls and in air. Anybody use in air ? What would Smokey do ? roverman.

I believe it was plausible or even confirmed on Mythbusters, but nowhere close to eye candy to say the least, LOL!

I remember seeing it done on the underside of some vehicle, can't remember what it was.

I'm sorry, but I don't put much stock in Mythbusters.

I haven't watched the Mythbusters video but I doubt it used measured and quantified data obtained in a calibrated wind tunnel - I expect it was tested on some real world outside environment and introducing some unknown variables.
Stick the original and modified car in a wind tunnel, conduct straight line and yaw measurements and post the drag coefficients - then I'll be a believer.

Graham, while Mythbusters does indeed test in the open environment, that is exactly the results that most of us are interested in, real world results, not lab experiments. Sort of like EPA milage figures, good lab results but seldom achievable in the real world of driving.
And no, I'm not going to attack the Midget with a ball peen hammer after seeing the video. LOL

The "idea" is to use on a belly pan. No need to make Hemi Healey look like a squished golf ball. Onward, roverman.

Lexus did it but you probably have a lot of lower hanging fruit to pick before this becomes an imperitive.

On the Lexus,I wonder if "NHV" was involved ? Seems like they would reduce attenuation ? roverman.
