Who makes this top?

I found it on a 1980 MGB LE in a Columbia, SC wrecking yard. It's the best looking hard top I've ever seen on an MG.

Very interesting. I've not seen anything like it. I'm sure Steve over at mgnuts.com would love to see it.

Hi Tim,
Looks VERY similar to mine made by Classic Motor car Ltd .in UK called a Bermuda Top. They made them for Bs, Midgets and Spitifres. Think they were just too "weird" for most. I love mine.

Rear quarter light appears a tidge different. I'm restoring mine, new color. Found a website from UK that must have had 20 different brands of aftermarket B tops... along with lots of background. Now I can't find it.

Tim,
Additional thought...
I've seen what appear to be the same shape of rear side quarterlights on a few aftermarket MG Midget tops. Might be a clue in there for you. I'll keep looking for the British website with all the info.

Here is a website from a company that makes all manner of fibreglass mouldings for an equally wide range of manufacturers.

Old MGB picture only one Cropped (3).JPG

I loved that top! It's the only picture I have of that 1965 car. This was before I finished the bodywork and painted it a bright white. It had a 283 with 3 speed stick. Always wondered what happened to that top. Would love to have one again. Bought the top on the same day my oldest daughter was born Oct 2, 1974. I was told a guy in the service brought it back from England. The girl that I bought the top from didn't have room to store the hardtop.
Cheers,
Bill
