Painting the under side
I'm getting pretty close to being ready. What do you recommend. I know some folks have used bed liner type material, but i'm worried it'll trap moisture next to the panels that are already prone to rust.
I'm leaning toward painting with the same paint I'll used for the body, but if there's a better/tougher answer, I'd like to know about it. What do you recommend? Rob Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 02/01/2008 11:19PM by rficalora. |

Re: Painting the under side
Rob,
Don Marcot sprayed the under side and interior panels on my MGBGTV8 conversion (http://www.advanceautowire.com/mgbgtv8)with Lizard Skin (http://www.lizardskin.com/) and then painted over it with body color. It looks good. He used both sound and heat reduction materials. Kit car magazine has an article on Lisard Skin in the current issue. |

Thanks Dan. I'd read about that stuff, but had forgotten about it.
