No pleats? How you going to keep your butt from sliding around?

Rick

Art, I tried a pair of similar seats in my car but had trouble with the backs rubbing agains the side of the cockpit near the shoulder area. Those "wings" can be a bit wide for a lot of small British cars. I wound up fitting a Kirky aluminum seat and cover with a bit of extra padding in my Midget. It's reasonably comfortable even for longer trips and really keeps me in place on the track days with the 5 point harness. I wound up donating the original seats to the Roadmaster project and they really didn't fit the GT either so we wound up using Fiero seats there. This photo shows the area where the interference with the seat back was worst. You can see that just to the right of Steve's shoulder.

Rick, I'm "just" wide enough not to slide. Bill, wish I'd asked before PayPalling. I never considered the wing-width. Most of us think about bottom width. The JH is more of a challenge to build than an MGB, due to lack of mod info. I'll try to document best I can. Thanks, roverman.

Their here.... 24" over the" wings", we shall see about the fit. Set-up for 6 point harness. Steel mounting brackets, might substitute for alum. Cheers, roverman.
