Early / late door pull swap

Do the early chrome interior door pulls and later (i.e. my 1977 RB) padded door pulls share the same mounting dimensions and location? A simple unscrew/screw-in swap ? Thanks. Only a few hundred questions to go...

well yes and no. The holes are in the door frames for the early pull handles on the inside but the threaded section is not there and the padded pulls are not using the same holes as the early chrome door pulls use.

Takes a bit of work, but is do-able. There is a post that shows HIWD buried over on the MG Experience forum.
