Electronic Speedometer for MGBV8

Does anybody have information on or have fitted an electronic speedo to an MGBV8 equipped with the Rover 5 speed gearbox?
Its time for me to stop performing mathematical calculations to figure out my actual speed while driving down the highway!!!

Thanks,
Martyn

I think there are some very good aftermarket units that would be suitable and they use several approaches to the pickup. One is a transducer that fits into the speedo cable socket on the tranny and another is a set of magnets that are taped to the driveshaft along with a hall effect or VR pickup. Either method should work fine if done properly.

Seems to me that Bill G. is pretty much into gauges, you might want to give him a call.

Try Classicinstruments.com. Tehy should be able to help.
