After an unfortunate meeting with a deer I decided to update my "A". One of the improvements was to use the water transfer technique to paint the grille and headlight inserts (also Frenched the headlights).

Mike,

It is suggested that clear coat is not needed. However mine were clear coated. The paint was applied over the chrome grille so we thought it best to add more protection. The headlight inserts weren't chrome but these were clear coated also. I was amazed at the likeness to true carbon fiber. The photo doesn't do justice to the quality.
