How to strip enamel-only
I'm told there is no known chemical, that will strip enamel and leave the 1973 laquer, underneath. So ,alternatives: a. Chemstrip all coatings down to bare fiberglass = real messy and a lot of prep/ paint, for a 2 stage quality job. b. soda blast-off enamel coat ? c. orbital sand-off enamel coat ? Anybody ? Thanks, Art.

Re: How to strip enamel-only
Art, no problem in using a liquid stripper,,,,,,,,,,,, you just cant leave it on till it attacks the FRP substrate and what would be the purpose in leaving any old "paint " substrate, when the object is to establish a new base to do your paint on .
