Also a Karmin Gia in the background.

Button Willow 042.jpg

The only MG that was racing. They had 2 tracks setup. One for the race cars class, and the other was street cars.

Untitled-179.jpg

This picture is the line that everyone sat it for the test and tech section to run their street car on the track. There was all different cars makes and models in the line-up. If my car was done I would be in this line :-). In the background there is 2 MGB GT's No V8's

Button Willow 038.jpg
This was the only Triumph TR4 that was racing. I looked under the hood, the engine was running 2 SU carb setup.Vintage I guess , a V8 would have looked nice in there.

Button Willow 047.jpg

A very nice MG Midget, sounded great.

Untitled-175.jpg

This GT3 was there racing on the track with the race cars. There was a 67 911s 2 liter that was staying with him for several laps, was very intertaining to watch. The 67 was almost passing in all corners and the GT3 was pulling away a little in the straights. There was about 7 Spitfires there, front end of one in this picture.

This Tiger had the 289 engine from what the owner said. On the track this car made some nice sound. when passing by.

Untitled-155.jpg

The MG held it's own on the track.

Untitled-157.jpg
Didn't ask what this was, think a Fiat 850, the trunk lid stayed in up when racing.

These pictures are just before eveyone went on the track. 2 nice Spitfires on the last picture. They were letting ride along in the cars. This was the street car side track that they were waiting for.

I couldn't ask for better weather for Feb.

Button Willow 050.jpg

The 911 in the front was the car that was in competition with the GT3. It was very crisp and loud.

The Tiger was staying with this Mustang with no problems.

Button Willow 065.jpg

The heavy T-bird...The midget was holding to the T-bird and passed. Took alot more pictures, but way to many to list here in the forums.

Wow... awesome pictures! Thank you!!!

About that red MGB: I've never noticed one with the body smoothed that extremely. I'd really like to see "how it was done" pictures on that one.

While we are on the "about the red one" subject, I would like to know about the tires (size, brand).

Sorry Curtis and Carl,

I should have picked their brains on the MG car while I was there, but had my identical twin boys with me that are 15 years of age. Both of them were wanting to go different directions from excitment and their attention span is still 4 seconds maybe hehe.

Maybe I can do some reserch, contact some people, find out some info.

I know some of these pictures are not of british cars, but they sure looked great for being vintage, well some did.

Button Willow 044.jpg

Button Willow 045.jpg

A very nice looking 240Z, great paint job, and nice flares for tire clearance.

Button Willow 048.jpg

914-6 that was very fast on the track, left the 911's in the dust.

When I was growing up, my dad was in the PCA (Porsche Club of America) early 60s. My dad had a 1960 356 B all black. So needless to say, I use to sit in the back seat of a 356 B coupe when traveling on rallys. I could remember 30 to 40 cars going down the road at a time, everyone would pull over and let us by. I do remenber when the first 911 and 912 + the 914 came out on the market. My very first job was locking up cars on a Porsche lot at 15 years old. The owner was OK with me moving the cars around. I was on cloud 9. At 16 when I got my drivers license, they would send me on dealer trades. OK enough of my passed ...sorry got ramblin on.

Button Willow 049.jpg

Nice little 510 Datsun named Elf....Some of the trailer rigs were SO Way cool...(rolling machine shops).

Sorry to bring back an older thread but the tires on the red car look like Toyo RA1 maybe 195's or 205's, they are great track day tires.you can get them from The Tire Rack.com pretty cheap

Tanner,

I don't think those are RA-1s. I run RA-1s on the street. They don't have the hash marks (perpendicular lines) in the middle & they have 4 rain grooves (2 of them disappear at 2/32"). I was really more interested to know what size tire the racers use.
