Tapely pull/strain gage?
Anybody? Some auto magazines, years ago, would road test using a Tapely pull? My understanding is it measured a value for road load and aero resistance. Comparable to a strain gage? I am unfamiliar with use of either. Seems like a possible use for aero refinement with-out wind tunnel? Of course a manometer and yarn could be useful. Prasitic loss in the drive train,(in neutral)? Thanks, roverman.

The first link is great. Google books has old Popular Science mags online.
