From what I hear, this is about as casual as racing ever gets... the drivers just want to have one last weekend of fun before winter really sets in. I'll be home for Thanksgiving, and Summit Point is practically in my mom's backyard so I plan to check it out. If the weather cooperates, it will be fun to see the cars. Any of you guys think you might get there?

I plan to be there Saturday to help a buddy out with his Sprite and enjoy the races.

What a fantastic weekend! For an small regional event like this, the variety and quality of the cars was remarkable. To give you some idea, here's a partial list of the cars I photographed for the new BritishRaceCar.com website:

Daimler SP250 (~1960),
Elva Mark IV (~1958),
Elva 200 (Formula Junior, ~1960),
Ford GT40 ("continuation...", ~1982),
Lola Mark 1 (~1960),
Lotus 51c (Formula Ford, ~1968),
Lotus Turbo Esprit (~1991),
MG MGA (~1960),
Peerless GT (~1959),
Royale S2000M (~1982),
Triumph GT6 (~1971),
Turner Mark III (~1965).

(There were a bunch more fine cars I missed...)
