Huffaker GT 1 restoration.
It's true, rust never sleeps ! Even in low humidity CA, it marches onward. Anyone familiar with Carerra steel bodied coil-over shocks ? Apppears they are non-adjustable,(fully compressed, turn shaft, no clicks). I just discovered, left front strut shaft is bent,(RIRW. 1987). Does this mean I'm more observant now ? To be continued, roverman.

Re: Huffaker GT 1 restoration.
Well the big but small cubic 4.4 liter is in a gold TR8 and running strong doing lots of burnouts. The engine went from the pictures I had earlier posted to installed in the car complete.

Re: Huffaker GT 1 restoration.
Mike, Of course a bore that big, "begs" for TA heads with say 2.02-2.05" intake ? I hope to make a 3.90" bore live, without too much drama. Time will tell. roverman.

Re: Huffaker GT 1 restoration.
Well the engine revs like a tuned small block as it should and RPMs are excellent. The car is really fast pulling of a half asses 12.20 last year. I dont think there will be much more done to the engine.

Re: Huffaker GT 1 restoration.
Mike, Before all that block work, did you consider a "Wildcat" block ? Can'nt say it would'nt been a PITA,(Wildcat), like my 4 bbl manifold that didn't fit anything ? Be patient, I'm trying to learn how to upload pic's. Cheers, roverman.

Re: Huffaker GT 1 restoration, update 6/21
Correct Vitaloni "Sebring", replacement mirror came all the way from Germany. I'm so old, I rememember when they were easy to get, here. Needed parts are flowing to the project, but never enough labor. I'm going to take plenty of "spy" photos of the Tullius TR 8 coupe,($275k), tommorrow. I hope the trip to be motivational and educational. Cheers, roverman.
