16v DOHC Mini w/5 speed (Non MG!! Non V6!!)
So to give a few new pictures and some straight out understanding of what we are building in the shop at this moment:
Its a Traveller none-the-less. Up on the stand tonight as we j-u-s-t installed the subframes. As soon as we can, the wood kit will be installed. Sorry to say, the shop camera does not do the workmanship on the body justice. The engine was commissioned by the owner with our input on the best systems for what was desired and what works best for the street. It should only have around 130 BHP. Thats all. -from an engine that would be hard pushed to get 100 BHP out of without a high lift cam and built to a less than streetable build with no chance of idling. - Thats with the 5 port OHV head vs. this new 16v DOHC design. Now, its going to idle well, have decent drivability and very unnatural power from a naturally aspirated 'A' series (A+) block. ![]() If the pictures look good so far, take a look at more about this mini, the supercharged MGA (5 main Moss supercharger on a 3 main MGB motor in a complete restored MGA), the several MGB V6 conversions (3.4L and 3500 V6), Triumph TR8- V6 conversion (!), and the restomod Jaguar XK120 (the only 120 part left is the bellhousing and clutch pedal- everything else has been updated or massively modified) Oh, yeah - pictures of the V8 meet '08 too: [picasaweb.google.com] I am trying to feed our britishv6.org moderator more information when time allows as projects are completed. Oh, wait, this is the british-Vee-Eight-dot-org.. ;-) -BMC. Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 11/07/2008 01:13AM by BMC. |

Thank you... We try to keep it clean. Right now, it look like a bomb went off with the projects but the floor is always cleaned and oil free. It makes for a nice workplace when you can almost wear your Sunday best laying on the floor bleeding brakes!
