Another 302 hits the ground running

Got it underway a couple of days ago. First I gently drove it around my property for 10 minutes or so, pulled into the driveway letting it idle while I checked for leaks and anything amiss – no problems. Next I did a short easy first, second, third gear drive about a 100 yards up the road. Turned around and nailed it through first and second – jeeeeeeeezzzzz what a kick. Did it again and then again. Finally I parked it in my drive, went in, grabbed a cold one, and spent the next ten minutes just staring at the thing.

I still need to attend to the finishing touches, install the interior, and get it insured.

Here’s a few photo’s of it. After I get it finished I’ll submit a “How it was done”.

302, Edelbrock intake and 600 carb, Ford E303 cam, Crane 17:1 roller lifters, T5, Ford 8.8 Traclock with 3.73 gears, Classic Conversions 4 link, 1972 Dodge B5 blue paint (with ghost stripe),

Thanks to everyone here who has helped me out over the past few years.

Steve

Steve, looks great and I love Blue Ovals. It could take you a year or more to move past the urge to NAIL IT. The rush I got was enhanced by the aluminum flywheel and 3.55's. The 3.73's should give you a similar rush. Keep plugin' away and you will be able to hang with us at the V8 meets. 2015 is in Indy. SAFETY FASTER!
PS, if you know someone else who wants a E Cam, Just pay S&H and I will give them one.

Great job Steve - long time coming -- i'm sure that made it even more exciting!

Cant wait to see it; hope to see you in Indy next summer.

Six years and I still haven't moved past that urge.

Looks great, Steve.
