I'm a believer. I put one in my car where it's in easy reach should I hit a pothole hard enough to trip it, and I also put an indicator lamp on the dash to let me know if it does. When Monroe hit the wall in Michigan a couple of winter's ago, we couldn't get it restarted because the inertia switch tripped and we didn't think about that in all the confusion. Knowing how rattled one can be following an accident, I thought the indicator was a good idea.

Spare parts for the Mallory pumps are carried by Summit Racing. Do a search "Mallory pump part" and you will find seal kits, brush kits, etc. Brushes are about $15 a set, for example.
