Re: British V8/V6 2013
You don't have to drive your MG/Jag/Healey/Triumph to have fun at the meet... A Toyota minivan works good as a tech support vehicle.

Re: British V8/V6 2013
I don't have a V8 British car, just a pile of parts. Would anyone be offended if I were to come on Tuesday afternoon to look and ask questions?
Thanks, Dennis |

Re: British V8/V6 2013
Dennis,
Offended? Certainly not. Everyone is welcome and your interest is appreciated. Latest update on my TR6: together and test driven. Good to go. The story is, I had a new ring and pinion put in late last year. Upon further inspection recently, I wasn't happy with the amount of pinion preload that was there so I had it redone. Now I can sleep at night. On the road tommorrow for two nights in Nashville, TN. before Omaha. |

Re: British V8/V6 2013
Dennis: No one will be offended... but if you only come for one afternoon you'll definitely leave wondering why you didn't come for the whole meet. Seriously. Put the rest of your life on hold. It's worth it!
Ken: That's fantastic news! |

Dennis,
We would be offended if you didn't come. Be sure to bring a camera and lots of SD cards (or film). You can gain a lot of knowledge from the cars that are there. |

Re: British V8/V6 2013
My name is Doug Brown and I live in South Dakota
Being new to this get together I guess I screwed it up!! Didn't understand the registration thing!!! I do have a room for Sunday night - Monday I'm on a waiting list! I can only visit for Sunday night, Monday, and Tuesday. When you own, time away can be very expensive!! I hope that I can participate, though I don't really need to race!! I'm looking forward to meeting the many people I feel I know through this Forum. I may be able to help many of you when it comes to various forms of metal finishing including powder coating and plating. Though I'm not officially registered (my fault) I can't wait to tip a few scotch's, light up a good cigar, and talk about building MG hotrods!! You'll see me - the one wondering around like an idiot |

Re: British V8/V6 2013
Doug...you can register for the event when you arrive at the hotel in Omaha.
Look up Bill Young....or any of the rest of us and we'll get you taken care of post haste! A group of seven of us (Pete Mantell, Alex Mantell, Graham Creswick, Peter Smith, Dave Kirkman, Mike Moor, and me) will be caravaning to St.Joe, MO on Saturday...then up to Omaha on Sunday with the rest of the Spurious @#$%& who have decided to "play" at the "pre-ignition party" on Saturday. Most of us will be departing on Thursday morning. |
